Unable to find my voice recordings on Mac

Hello,

I used the "Dictaphone" app, I clicked on "finish" to save the audio but I can't find the recording. It's not in the documents, I can't find Voice Memos (SPOTLIGHT search), etc. It's a real hassle, the Dictaphone interface doesn't offer a "save as"... Nothing. Honestly, not great for a Mac app :(
If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be nice ;)

    Excerpt from the Dictaphone app help: "You can drag a recording into a Finder window to save it in the folder of your choice. You can also drag a recording from the Dictaphone window into an email, a note, or a message." You will get a beautiful .m4a file.

    You can also click the "Share" button in the toolbar.

    Now, if you absolutely need to retrieve the file, you need to find it in the folder:

    ~/Library/Group Containers/group.com.apple.VoiceMemos.shared/Recordings

    The tilde ~ symbolizes the user account, the folder with the "little house" (Unix convention). In this case, the folder ~/Library corresponds to the library of the current user account, not to the one located at the root of the boot disk or in the /System folder:

    By default, this folder is hidden; you can access it from the "Go" menu in Finder while holding down the Option key...

    Impossible to upload the audio. I can't transfer the recording (just connection issues with either my Mac or my Apple account).
    As for "the little house," I can't find any library (I must have messed up somewhere).

    Hello Aliboron Martin,

    I followed your instructions ("go" from Finder) but I must have made a mistake somewhere. I'm trying again ASAP (I'm leaving in 30 minutes).

    I attempted to save on another Mac and realized last night that the file was in "iTunes." How could I have done that? The magic of Apple :D

      The file is not in iTunes (in Music, actually). It's simply that it can be opened in this application, which then creates a copy. A copy that can be retrieved (in the intricate architecture of the iTunes folder) or from which a copy can be retrieved (by dragging and dropping to the desktop). But the actual files of the Dictaphone recordings are indeed to be found in the folder mentioned above:

      ~/Library/Group Containers/group.com.apple.VoiceMemos.shared/Recordings
