Photos on Windows 11 no longer allows scrolling

Hello,
I'm asking this question for a friend. He uses the Photos app that comes with Windows 11 to view his photos, but for the last few months, he hasn't been able to scroll through them using the arrow keys on his keyboard. He tells me it used to work before, just like it does for me.
I tried uninstalling/reinstalling it from the Microsoft Store without success. I'm left with only the option to reinstall, but I was wondering if you might have any other ideas.
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
Use System Restore this way:Go to Settings > System > Recovery > Advanced Startup > Restart now
To restart and go to Advanced options > System Restore
Choose another restore point...
Restoring from there carries fewer risks of errors, but it is equivalent to RESTUI.
If not too many programs are affected by a rollback, go ahead. -
Oh, I admit I didn't think of that. Thank you. I'll see how it goes this weekend.
Best regards,

Time is running out, the dining options are created and deleted automatically.
You will tell me if it worked, if resolved, otherwise there is the FastPictureViewer program in Legacy version (Free) which allows you to easily scroll with the mouse wheel.

I know, but it's quite far from my place and I work. Anyway, considering how long the problem has persisted, I doubt the appropriate restoration points are still there.
But thanks for the suggestion.

Hello,
Your friend would be much less bothered with the old Windows photo viewer.

For a few months now, he can no longer scroll through them using the arrow keys on his keyboard. The old viewer takes up less RAM resources.
Have you tried checking if the keyboard driver is up to date in the Device Manager?
Update drivers via Device Manager in Windows - Microsoft Support
Also, see the chapter "Reinstall a device driver".

Well, I'm at my friend's place. There wasn’t a problem after all; he was trying to scroll through photos in a zipped folder. I unzipped it, and there have been no issues since. I don't know how I missed that on TeamViewer when I was helping him out. I still installed the viewer for him and configured it.
