Oversized parcel scam: Be cautious of fraudulent text messages

Alert about a new online scam attempt. Some individuals have received a text message from a so-called delivery person who cannot deliver a package because it is too large for the mailbox. The scammer then invites the recipient to schedule a new appointment via a fraudulent link for a sum of money. Caution is advised when facing this type of scam. Let’s not forget that delivery services never use SMS to request payment. In case of doubt, it is better to go directly to the official website of the delivery company.     Hello!

    This morning, Monday, April 21, 2025, I received at 9:30 AM this kind of message (sent by SFR with access code coming from 0677920830) and, indeed, I am expecting a package but was wary of the mention "a package too large to be placed in your mailbox"!

    Usually, the delivery drivers call me on my mobile or use the intercom, both of which are completely accessible. Therefore, I did not respond to this "coded" SMS coming from "mondialpro.com".

    Should I report it to PHAROS and is this "too large package" story undeniable proof that we are the target of an attempted scam?
