Smart TV with Orange fiber: Is it a good deal?

Hello,

I was planning to buy a 4K television, but I noticed that Orange offers a combined deal with an internet subscription + Smart TV.

If I choose this subscription, I would take the one at €53.99 per month with the 65'' QLED TV for €599.

I wanted to know which option would be more cost-effective: buying the television separately or subscribing to Orange's fiber + Smart TV deal?

    How do you expect us to know, especially since I personally don't see the link in question?

    The question is whether we are willing to buy this type of television, which doesn't fit all interiors without this solicitation, and whether it is part of an Internet offer that, on its own, wouldn't be more expensive than the one we currently have.

    For the rest, it's up to you to do your arithmetic, knowing that it is certainly linked to a long-term commitment and that, generally speaking, the cost of the television alone is higher than what one would find for the same device online, the only "advantage" being the credit acquisition through a non-traditional means, but which still has to be paid.

      Thank you for your response.

      The television seems quite good to me, and I would be willing to buy it if, after doing the calculations, it turned out to be cheaper for me.

      Currently, I don't have a fixed internet offer, I use 4G. That's why I'm interested in a complete offer.

      Unfortunately, I can't do the calculation myself, as I lost my calculator. However, here are the figures:

      1. Subscription with Smart TV (Livebox Up Fiber + Smart TV):

        • 53.99 €/month with a 24-month commitment (or 48.99 €/month for Orange mobile customers)
        • Price of the Smart TV: 599 €

      2. Subscription without Smart TV:

        • 29.99 €/month for 6 months then 51.99 €/month (or 29.99 €/month then 46.99 €/month for mobile customers) with a 12-month commitment.

      3. Price of the television without the Orange offer: 739.00 €.

      Thank you for your help, I am curious to see if you can find the result. please =D

    I am extremely wary of this kind of bundled offers, as ISPs (and Orange in particular) rarely make disinterested gifts.

    Here we know nothing about the televisions. As an Orange subscriber, you may have more information.
    We don’t know if these are recently released devices. We also don’t know if they run on Android (Google TV). The term "smart TV" is very vague. Personally, I prefer televisions that run on Android, which have a lot of possibilities.
    In other words, I prefer to buy my television in-store.

    Try to do a price comparison to finalize your choice.

      Good evening friends Bruc' has summarized it well and in my opinion there is no need to be wary, just do your own calculations. Personally, at Orange, I pay 41 euros as an old customer for the Orange box and its bouquet offer which is often evaluated. On top of that, I have "canal" at 36.45, what interests Orange is to get a subscriber! By offering a television to entice the buyer.

      A positive point of Orange is its excellent online help in case of a malfunction for the bouquet... thankfully I have Canal.

      The decoder has a function that allows me to see all the content from my PC, maybe others do too?

      And personally, I choose my television in the store.

      I live in the countryside and my antenna on the roof is acting up. Will I get all the channels of the DTT with the decoder?

      Arithmetic isn't very complicated.

      You can't see which TV it is at Orange if you're not a customer; you can find Samsung QLED 65s online, there are several models, starting from €600-700 and €500 in other brands.

      In the consumer rip-off series, Bouygues is offering a "flash sale" with, coincidentally, a Samsung QLED 65 for €449 with subscription prices that are pretty much the same.

      A fiber subscription with TV can easily be found around €25.

      Roughly outside of the TV where you can save €150 to €250 depending on the brand, the additional subscription cost over 2 years is therefore 30x24=€720 (€600 if you are already an Orange mobile subscriber) from which you should deduct the cost of the 4G subscription if it is dedicated outside of the phone.
