    Hello,

You should not use Zimbra, but rather your Free subscriber area.

This is also what Félix Marciano's publication states.

However, the publication is no longer quite up to date.

BoBot, the CCM robot, states it himself ==► It is possible that the article you read is outdated

That option is no longer available:

    Not even on this link:

    New option:

Log in to the FREE subscriber area.

    My subscription.

Section --► Email accounts (at the bottom of the page) --► Manage my Free emails.

Select your Free email address and click on --►Manage my account

Or you can perform the same operation from the homepage of the subscriber area once logged in, it's the section ''My emails'.

Then select your Free address if there are multiple accounts and click on --►Manage my emails

And click again on --► Manage my account

You will find the management interface to increase your account quota to 10 GB.

For the requester questioninfo1, it seems they are using a free access.

    In free access:

The only way to find out if it's possible to migrate to 10GB from their Free email address is to go to the Freebox subscriber area with their email address and password, then check if the option to migrate to 10GB is offered.

However, the requester has a company address.

And Free no longer offers migration to 10 GB.

Perhaps this is why the option is not available.

Users of Zimbra will soon have the opportunity to migrate to the new Roundcube to enjoy a more efficient webmail and request, if needed, 10 GB of storage.

Now that Roundcube offers the same services as Zimbra (mail, calendar, and 10 GB storage), subscribers can migrate without fear of losing services.

It will not be possible to request 10 GB of storage outside the new Roundcube.

Thank you for Juliette's comments today which confirm what I see: it is to say "nothing" regarding this option that does not exist (or no longer exists).

However, "Zimbra users will soon have the option to migrate to the new Roundcube."

What is Roundcube? And how to do it?

      For your information:

"For the requester questioninfo1, it seems to go through a free access." NO absolutely not, it's a Freebox subscription.
Small question, how would you have seen it?

In the same way, "But the requester has a company address." There too, TOTALLY FALSE!

Two deductions that seem quite hasty and unfounded. Again, it would be interesting to know how you arrive at these (false) deductions without proof.

(It's like if Pistouri could indicate the failed use of a scalpel... nonsense, here on my part... :) )

Thank you anyway for your help.

      Furthermore,

        Hello,

It seems to be using a free access

No free access when connecting with a Free HTTPS address.

        In the URL.

However, the requester has a company address

conseilssyndical.fde suggests an administrative company that also does not have @free.fr StatusMember and to access the 10 GB, one must have an address ending in @free.fr

        Already 1 year:

==► The migrations from Free webmail to Roundcube are open again, allowing for 10 GB of storage

        Hello

The deletion of emails by inboxes is becoming more and more common, as is the shrinking of free online storage.

Without wanting to kick a man when he’s down, all free storage options are welcome, even if sometimes limited to certain people.

What is 10 GB compared to the terabytes offered by hard drives that have become very affordable and sometimes very fast now? Do a quick calculation: renting over 10 years vs. buying a drive only if necessary.

This might require a mail program installed on the PC and set up to import, manage, and store all emails on an internal drive.

Thunderbird, which is free, is quite common and can serve as a temporary solution in an emergency, or even be kept if it suits your needs.

In any case, whether using webmail or Zimbra or "thingamajig", you need to go through the Free subscriber area and when you're not with them, it's complicated to advise... The upgrades to 10GB are slow, even when the option is available; personally, it took several months (request made in 2021, obtained in 2022). You have to understand that today the service is interrupted, that's what Free answered to questioninfo1. So that's it, and we have to be patient.....

    Edit, and yes, forgot this:

BoBot the robot from CCM says it himself ==► It is possible that the article you read is outdated

The link I provided in 3 dated from March 2024...... outdated?, and this message from BoBot is frequent in his responses, so not relevant.

    Hello Bobot AI...

In an email received today, you said to me:

"This message has not received any response from the community so far, but we do have an answer that might help you. Hello!
    It's Bobot, the forum AI!
It is possible that the article you read is outdated or that this service is no longer available. To increase your Zimbra storage space on Free, I recommend going directly to your Zimbra space and checking if there is an option to increase the storage space. If that doesn't work, you should contact Free customer service to ask for help.

Response generated by AI on 04/10/2024"

What would be great is for you "AI" to annotate all outdated articles; that would be a real improvement for your site (but not just yours...).

"You should contact Free customer service to ask for help."
Done, but the response is curt: "This is not possible for you at the moment; it is done randomly in waves."

So we must wait for the wind to change... as Grégoire Lacroix said
"It's not the sea that makes the waves, it's the wind.

      Re,

"you should contact Free customer service for assistance."

Even though the Free proxi advisor I reached out to wasn't having her best day, I had to ask several times to get a concrete answer that was far from satisfactory.

      Here for example, she’s struggling:

Here she managed to pull herself together a bit:

For BoBot, the robot from CCM, he does his best with his so-called artificial intelligence, but it's already good that 2 days later you got a response from him followed later by contributors from the forum because that's his role; few forums have a AI. (Take it or leave it).

As for the CCM publication regarding this topic, over time some become outdated including this one, and you shouldn't be too quick to cast stones at the fire.

There is a Bugs/suggestions forum on CCM where you can report all sorts of problems.

    Hello

You should not go through Zimbra but through your Free subscriber area.

Once the request is made, it may take a long time (sometimes several months)

      Hello and thank you flo88

      "

Here are the steps to follow:

      • Go to the Freebox Subscriber Space
      • Log in with your WEBMAIL username and password.
      • Go to the section "Manage your email accounts".
      • Click on the option "Increase my account quota to 10Go".

Up until the second to last line, it’s fine, except I don’t have the last line...

As mentioned in the previous message:

I contacted Free. I have already logged in, as you suggested. It’s done, but Free's response is brief: "It is not possible for you right now; this is done randomly in waves."

QED, looking forward to the next (good) wave...

      Thank you
      have a nice Sunday
