Hello:

I am receiving the FreeBox Ultra tomorrow morning.

I would like to buy a WIFI 7 USB key or an adapter: a 10 Gb/s compatible SFP+ or a USB or USB-C adapter.

I don't know how to search for these two things on the internet.

If the most important aspects are: the standard, the speed, the network name, or other things.

Thank you for your answers.

Hello,

less than €60 for that, you must be dreaming, it’s not Christmas anymore, do you really need a USB adapter?

Example for a SFP+/USB adapter

for WiFi 7, there will be that, but it's not on the market yet and the price... ouch, probably.

From what I've seen, the first customers had issues with DAC cables, they had to switch to fiber SFP+ adapters.

see the latest pages here (there are many).

And there you have it ....

But goodness, the line spacing is so annoying!!

Good evening, Brupala:

If I really want USB-C, it's because I'm working on a MacBook Air 15" 2022. I only have 2 USB-C ports.

However, I have 2 USB-C hubs and plenty of adapters: USB to USB-C or vice versa.

Could you please indicate me some reasonably priced options.

Are Wi-Fi 6E USB keys compatible with Wi-Fi 7?

Yes, that's for sure.

But here, we don't say wifi usb key, we say wifi/usb adapter.

Otherwise, I have another solution, while waiting for the USB Wi-Fi 7 to be released or for the prices to become affordable, but what is most important in my eyes is:

THE THROUGHPUT.

I already have a USB or USB-C adapter with 2.5 Gb/s. From the brand:

WAVLINK. Do you think I will reach a throughput of 2.490 Gb/s? Knowing that the indicated number has reached this figure.

Will I have better throughput with Wi-Fi 7? Are there USB-C to RJ45 adapters with 5 Gb/s?

I couldn't find anything on USB-C to RJ45 5 Gb/s adapters. Could you please send me some links?

I searched on Amazon, LDLC, Cdiscount, FNAC, and Boulanger.

I tried typing:

WIFI :

1. WIFI key 7

2. WIFI key 802.11be

RJ45 :

1. USB-C to RJ45 adapter 5 Gb/s

2. USB-C to RJ45 adapter 5 Gbase

3. USB-C to RJ45 5 Gb/s

4. USB-C to RJ45 5 Gbase.

I even tried on Google Shopping.

Can you tell me what I should type?

I finally found a USB C to RJ45 adapter with five Gb/s + an SFP+ to RJ45 module compatible with Freebox Delta 10 Gb/s.

Do you think it will work on the Freebox Ultra?

However, I can't find a USB to RJ45 or SFP+ 10 Gb/s adapter for less than €70. I'll wait for prices to drop.

I haven't ordered anything yet. Do you think I should better wait for the release of Wi-Fi 7 keys?

Knowing that I already have a 2.5 Gb/s RJ45 adapter, will the speed of Wi-Fi 7 be greater than 5 Gb/s?

I don't think your Wi-Fi 7 speed is 5 Gbit/s; if it exceeds 2 a little, that will already be good.

One of the first tests: https://www.lesnumeriques.com/repeteurs-wi-fi/labo-nos-premiers-tests-en-wifi-7-ca-envoie-tres-fort-n218422.html
