Connecting my soundbar to the Bouygues special series Bbox
SolvedHello,
I decided to switch my ISP and I'm going back to Bouygues.
So I got the Bbox special series, the cheapest one with the same channels as the Smart.
Do you think I could connect my Bose soundbar to the optical port of the Bbox (SPDIF) or will it be another box?
As for the TV, will I be able to adjust the audio output from HDMI to SPDIF like I can currently with Free?
Just to reassure myself.
Thank you.

Hello,
The Bbox is the Bbox TV 4K that we are talking about, I suppose.
What is the model of the Bose soundbar?
"As for the TV, will I also be able to change the audio output from HDMI to SPDIF" ??? Please clarify your question.
Which TV (Brand and model)?

Hello,
If I had to remember all the replies I could have made among the roughly 45,000 messages I've written, that would be a miracle...
I can't know which TV box you are going to get, but if it's the latest Bbox TV, there shouldn't be any problem as it does have an SPDIF optical output.

No, that's not the one. I'm calling Bouygues again because if I can't, there's no point in picking it up from the relay, I'll take the must. It's the white Bbox for €29.90, special series. That's what the advisor told me on the phone, but when I go back to the website, it's the one you're showing. I don't understand.

On the order form, it is written:
Special Series Bbox 4K FTTH

WELL, after a dozen calls, I finally managed to get a lady at 1064 who was able to answer me:
Indeed, the MODEM is white, but the DECODER is the right one and it does have the SPDIF optical output where I can connect my Bose soundbar dedicated to TV dialogues. PHEW!
Thank you #Baladur13, see you next time ;-)
