Can my Nintendo Switch play movies from a USB drive?

Solved
theoask -

Hello,

I have movies on a USB drive, in MPEG4, MKV, and AVI format.

I would like to know if it is possible to play them on the Switch and with which application?

I have a USB-C adapter that I connect to the USB-C port of the Switch with the USB drive plugged into the adapter, but the Switch cannot read the contents of the USB drive, so while traveling I am forced to use my Android tablet, which is a shame...

Hello, the Nintendo Switch does not allow access to a USB key from its USB-C port, and there is currently no application that would enable reading files from an external storage device.

The only videos that the Switch can play (from the console's memory or the microSD card) are those that have been recorded using the capture button, by going to "Album".
