Anomalies DLL CNMSSC~1.DLL and CNMCPBX (splwow64.exe)

Solved

Hello,

For a few weeks now, I've been experiencing these two DLL anomalies that open when I turn on my PC with Windows 10, and for the second one that also opens when trying to print a document (which has become impossible) or when reinstalling the Canon printer, which cannot be completed.

If someone could help me, that would be really great.

PS: To progress a bit, I tried to run a ZHPDiag downloaded from the official site, but the tool was removed by Windows Defender, which identifies it as a Trojan.

Is the print spooler active in services?

Right-click on the Start button > Run: services.msc

You can check and repair the disk's file system and the Windows system files if they are damaged.

By right-clicking on the Start button, use this command with Windows PowerShell (Admin)

      CHKDSK /F C:

Respond Y for Yes to then restart Windows.

      Then

      Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

      Then

      sfc /scannow

        Hello,

You can either repair or uninstall and reinstall the Canon software.

        1. Good evening @Fabul,

I'm sorry for my previous response and for the availability.

My main issue is not really Canon itself, but the errors of the two dlls that appear when Windows starts up as incorrect images, which I would like to resolve.

Otherwise, the print spooler is present and active in "automatic" mode in the services.msc list.

These are files related to Canon.

Incorrect image, they may be corrupted or missing?

I don't know, but reinstalling the Canon software is probably a good idea.

Otherwise, you can type Canon in the Filter box of Autoruns (Run as administrator) to see if you can disable them if you no longer use them.

        2. Good evening,

From what I've read, one of the files present in Win32 is also related to Access. However, I've had a problem with my PC that caused me to lose the Microsoft suite, as well as VLC, which had to be reinstalled.

As for the reinstallation of Canon, which I've already tried several times, it cannot be finalized from what I understand, due to the issue with splwow64.exe.

Is your Windows up to date?

            Version 22H2?

If you type in Run: winver

            1. Good evening, Thank you for the response but if the solution were that simple, I wouldn't need to come to a forum. Could a specialist please help me?

You provide so many details about the errors and what you've tried,

Otherwise ZHP has nothing to do with your printer problem.

How do you expect us to help you?
