Updating external data with Libre Office Calc

Hello,

I am experiencing a problem with "disappearance or changes in values in linked sheets"

The description of the "realized":

1°) I have monthly sheets (family accounting) where I work, recording income and expenses throughout the days of the month.

2°) I have an annual summary sheet where the entries made in each monthly sheet will be copied.

This copying is done by "= clicking on each cell of the monthly sheets"

Now, the description of the "problem":

1°) I will soon finish the entries for October 2023. I will then go to my annual sheet to update the October 2023 column. Everything goes well with each of my 30 rows populating ... OK?

2°) The problem will arise when I do the same thing at the end of November. Many figures from October are either incorrect or have disappeared all over my table! Even for previous months, some are perfect while in some months the figures in certain cells have also disappeared; some cells show "value," others are blank, with no numbers!

In short, to summarize;

- when I work on it, everything is okay.

- I close it and go back... it's a mess!

The cause is likely the alert I get when reopening my work docs: a pop-up warns me: “The following external data linked to this file has not been updated”

I need to find the way to freeze these transfers. I think I need to get "automatic" instead of "manual" in the "status" column of the table that opens when I go to the menu: Edit / Links to external files.

But how do I do this when the "refresh" box at the bottom right of the table is inoperative!!! I click on it and nothing happens!?

Thank you, pros, and @ +

In the menu Tools > Options > LibreOffice Calc -> General > Refresh links on loading > choose Always or on demand.

Hello trotte-menu,

Thank you for your response, but the box is indeed checked!!!

Too bad, the issue comes from elsewhere!

See you later!
