EMule low ID even though it was working

Hello,

I installed eMule a few months ago, I use it rarely but it was working well, everything was green.

And for a few days now, I have yellow arrows, low ID, although I haven't changed anything, I just removed some files from the incoming folder because I didn't have enough space on my C: drive.

And since then it only works with low ID, I've reconfigured the UDP TCP ports six times and it doesn't change anything, I don't understand??

Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks in advance

hello,

How is the computer connected to the Internet?

Most often, you need to adjust the modem or box configuration to obtain a high-id.

Where and how did you reconfigure the udp tcp ports?

Can you post a screenshot of the static IP address and the NAT configuration screen?
For me, Emule goes way back, lately I've been using qbittorrent which has a built-in search engine (that requires installing Python).

If I do that, I'm giving you all my personal data, which isn't very wise, right? What should I do??

So we are not talking about the same thing!

The fixed IP address only pertains to the network card

The NAT settings are just numbers, UDP, TCP, ports

It has no connection to your name, address, account, etc.

Ok, I set it to automatic as indicated, I will see what it does.

it's not working better

here are my ports '-)

but if I set my IP address to automatic, I can't find the machine to address and put the ports in the box?

Sorry, the copy corresponds to my settings (new box with CG-NAT), indeed you must set your chosen IP:

192.168.1.xxx

mask 255.xx.xx.xx

gateway 192.168.1.1

for the redirection, it's correct

the client took 24h+ to create a functional network and start sharing

Here, I've made the changes as you indicated but it's still the same low ID '-(

I really don't understand, afterwards I fixed some little things on the box to clarify some things that weren't right but it's not better, I don't see it!!

What can I do now?

Hello everyone, just a little note to let you know that I managed to get high ID.

I uninstalled eMule with my administrator account.

Then, I went into the firewall to remove the rules for the eMule application.

I did a cleanup with the BleachBit software.

Then I switched back to my regular user account, reinstalled eMule, and put the ports back in my box, which I hadn't touched as it was already configured, so I added the servers back in eMule and there, connected high ID!!! So cool!!

Thanks to everyone, it really works and see you soon for new adventures '-)

Good evening, I found what probably caused the conflict:

Windows was on a public network instead of a private network, so I switched it back to a private network.

And secondly

my Windows security shield was on yellow, there was supposedly a security issue, so I checked the box for the private network, cutting off all incoming and outgoing connections, which was a mistake. When testing with and without it, with eMule, indeed when the box is checked, eMule is on low ID, and when I uncheck the box for incoming connections in the firewall, eMule goes back to high ID.

Thanks to everyone, pay attention to your firewall; it wasn't the NAT on the box, that was fine, it was the firewall!!

See you soon '-)

Hello yg_be

Thank you for your quick response. The computer is connected to the box via Ethernet, so directly.

The box is an NB6 box from SFR. I went into NAT to enter the two eMule ports, TCP and UDP, in port forwarding, and I set the IP address of the computer.

TCP: 22222 and UDP: 22232 and a few days ago I was in green high ID, no issues.

Does the computer always have the same local IP address?

yes, I have a static IP address and I have a DHCP server for MAC filtering on my Wi-Fi to secure it!!

If you're sure that the NAT is properly configured to your computer's local IP address, I'm thinking about the way some ISPs in France do splitting, assigning the same IP address to 4 subscribers and dividing the local port range among these 4 subscribers.

It might be useful to test with TCP/UDP ports 10000, 35000, or 60000.

You might also have a "firewall" on your computer that blocks incoming connections from eMule.

Hello

You need to delete the files using the software so that it is aware of the files that are no longer available.

I'm sure I deleted it directly without going through the software, I transferred everything to another hard drive! Do you think that's what's causing the low ID?

I believe it's more likely the ports; when I run a port test, it doesn't see them as open!!
