Hello,

Since the change of my box, following the switch to fiber, my Ctronics camera is no longer connecting. Do you have any answers to this? I think it might not be compatible with 5G.

Thank you for any suggestions for reconnecting.

Hello,

From experience, the problem indeed comes from the 5GHz network, which is typically incompatible with almost any model.

I have purchased a large number of models from this site https://www.camerasurveillance.net/16-camera-ip-wifi and they all need to be connected to the 2.4GHz. It's not too bad, a simple setting is enough to activate the 2.4GHz for syncing, but it's true that at first, you wonder what's wrong haha :)

So don't worry, just activate your 2.4GHz network, redo the installation on it, and everything should work smoothly :)

Hello, thank you for your comment.

I also just bought a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz compatible camera and my Wi-Fi is in 5 GHz and it doesn't work.

I'll try with 2.4 GHz.

Hello,

If you have changed your box, you probably need to re-associate your camera with your new box...

Knowing the model of this Ctronics camera would be a plus to try to assist you.

It's very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...

Hello,

You’re probably confused, and it’s unfortunately too common, between the 5th generation of mobile networks and the 5 GHz Wi-Fi frequency band, which have nothing to do with each other.

For your camera, try giving a different SSID name to the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks from your box, for example, fred2 and fred5, then see if it works better on one network than the other. It’s true that some older Wi-Fi cards have trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) networks of new boxes.

And there you go, there it is....

But goodness, how annoying those line spaces are!!
