Comment to play on a 120Hz screen from a 60Hz laptop?

Solved

Hello, good evening!

My setup is complete, but I would like to have more comfort in certain FPS games, so I would like to be able to play on a 120Hz screen connected to my laptop (60Hz).

I have done my research and already know that I need to connect everything with cables, but everything I found was unclear to me.

So I don't know how to go about it and would need some kindly guidance.

I have a Lenovo Legion Y540 (RTX 2060, 8GB RAM, i5 (9th gen))

Thank you in advance!

  1. Hello,

For setup, this is done in the video settings of Windows or through the graphics drivers that handle it.

From a hardware standpoint, it is essential to ensure that the video connectivity standards of the laptop, the cable, and the monitor are all compatible. Most often, it is the DisplayPort cable that is used with PCs, and in rarer cases, HDMI is used, but once again, it is necessary to know their standards.
