Half of my smart TV screen is dark on one side.

Hi everyone!

I have a Samsung smart TV UE43NU7025, and for some time now, the black part was slightly darker on the right side, with a sharp cutoff in the middle of the screen. The part being only slightly darker wasn't really bothersome.

However, last night, I went out to have dinner, and when I came back, the left side had become really very dark. It's impossible to watch anything on the TV.

Do you have a solution for me, please? I admit I'm currently watching a series, and I'm extremely eager to continue, but I can't, which is really frustrating.

Thank you in advance for your responses! :)

Hello,
You need to check with a repair shop for a quote or invoke the warranty, at least if it’s still valid.
I’m leaning towards a defective panel…

Sure, thank you, but I admit I don't have a lot of money... is there any way I can fix this myself? For example, if there's a loose connection?

The TV is 3 or 4 years old, it's unfortunately no longer under warranty... and it's been working very well (even perfectly) until 1 or 2 weeks ago. I'm really hoping for a loose connection, but I wouldn't know how to check, even if I remove the back panel.

Anyway, thanks for your quick response.

No...
For my part, the slab is dead and the defect is going to worsen...

Okay, thanks. Do you know the average price for slab repair? Apparently, the rates range from €30 to €275, where would we stand?

It is necessary to get a quote (as a reminder, we are on a forum here and we can only make assumptions about the failure...) first in order to determine the exact nature of the issue.

That's alright. I'm sorry, but I have another question: who should I turn to for a quote? I was thinking of a computer repair person, but that's not it. Would you happen to know, please?

I'm really sorry for all my questions; I'm quite ignorant on this matter...
