Remember the position and size of Word windows.
Solved
Hello,
On my new PC running Windows 11, I reinstalled my Office 2010 Pro without any issues. However, unlike what I could do with Windows 10, the windows only occupy a third (in height) of the screen. So I resize them as I wish, but if I close them, they revert to their initial size each time I restart. Worse, if I open a second window of the same program in parallel, it also takes up a third of the screen and I have to resize it every time I open a file. It's quite annoying and I've been looking for a solution (if it exists) that allows me to keep the dimensions and positions of the windows I open (regardless of the software, as it's the same with Excel and even more bothersome).
If anyone has an idea, it would be welcome.
Thank you
Cath

Even if it's just a half solution, I found it!
If we anchor the window at the top, it shouldn’t anchor automatically at the bottom (nor probably to the right or left). So we need to give it dimensions that take up almost the height of the screen. After that, the document will open in this position and size upon the next restart, as well as the other documents, including the new ones.
There you go!

Hello,
We should be able to further tweak a custom shortcut or the registry.
But starting with something simple, what happens if we click on the shortcut on the right, properties, and then run it, maximized window? -
Thank you for your response.
I just tested it and it had no effect, the window remains the same size.
Then after a few minutes, I restarted Word and it displayed in full screen, which I’m not interested in either, unfortunately.
So, same situation.-
So creating a shortcut won't do any good.
I had Office 2007 running without issues on Windows 10 for a long time, Windows 11, I don't know.
A number of causes can be invoked in no particular order:
-Non-optimized video for Office 2010 which is an older version: there's nothing we can do about that.
-Using an external monitor?
-If you have a large screen, try adjusting the display resolution?
-The hardware acceleration of graphics cards can be a factor: disable it if necessary.
-The corresponding registry key might be defective: see here, option 3:

Oh! It apparently runs without any other problem than that, which is just annoying and not serious, but I find it increasingly complicated to configure the "beast" to my liking. My screen is indeed a 27-inch one, but it's the same as the one with my XPS 8300 with Windows 10 that gave up on me after 11 years of loyal service :-).
Anyway! I followed the link and the instructions for option 3, but nothing has changed.
Thank you for your help.
