Connect the box to all RJ45 sockets in the house.
Solved
Hello,
I just moved into a nearly new house (2 years old), and I want to connect my various devices directly to the wall sockets using RJ45 for maximum internet speed (the connection is quite weak to begin with).
However, despite all the topics I've read, I can't seem to identify what I am doing incorrectly.
My box, which works perfectly, is connected to the DTI socket.
I am attaching a few photos of the installation that I hope will explain everything much better than I can!
Thank you in advance!

Hello,
indeed, you probably didn't read everything about the discussions on this forum here...
We have repeatedly mentioned to do this:
So,
at your place, you need to remove the 4 small cables between the telephone distribution point included in the DTI and the patch panel and replace them with RJ45 patch cords between the Ethernet ports of your box and the 5 patch panel sockets.
Don't forget to switch the display to computer instead of phone.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your quick response! I have indeed come across this diagram, but I must admit that I didn't manage to identify the different components right away.
If I understand correctly, the patch cables I currently have are only compatible with telephony?-

@brupalaI realize that I'm still missing one element to understand everything; should the four cables (on the left of the photo) be connected directly to the box?
I thought that connecting the box to the DTI meant that the other four cables (on the right of the photo) would send the connection directly to the various RJ45 outlets in the house...
I must have missed something again! -
@Julien.44Yes, you've really missed the mark there.
It's not what is shown in the diagram I provided, it seems to me.
The box is connected via its WAN port to the telephone line or to the fiber optic, when you have it.
At the back, it is connected via its LAN ports to the patch panels, or directly to something else, like a PC, switch, printer, or TV box.
Through its phone outputs as well, to a landline phone too.
But under no circumstances should the patch panels be connected to the DTI; that was before, when the telephone line was still for voice, but that's not the case anymore today except for old installations, see "end of PSTN." -
@brupalaAlright! Everything is clear now!
You just took a huge thorn out of my side, thanks again for giving me your time.
Best of luck!
