How to connect a GIGASET AS405 cordless landline phone to a Livebox 4

Hello,

I would like to know how to connect a GIGASET AS405 cordless phone to a Livebox 4. After several attempts, I have no results. Is the phone compatible?

    Hello,

    It is assumed that we have a phone number for the Livebox (because if we have kept the "historical number", we do not plug the phone into the box but into the wall outlet).

    Under these conditions, we need to associate the phone with the box:

      I had one a few years ago and I had kept the number in 01 while Orange assigned a number in 09 to the box and another "installation number" in 01: nothing else worked except for the famous historical number via ADSL filter on the wall socket.

    Your device is an AS405 (without answering machine - one button on the base) or AS405A with built-in answering machine - multiple buttons on the base)
    Directly associating a phone with an answering machine is an aberration as it loses all the functionalities specific to the base.
    Among other things, the answering machine function.

    To pair a handset, you need to follow the pairing procedure described in the manual on page 12, and instead of pressing the button on the base, you should press the WPS button on the Livebox 4.
