Hello - Panasonic DMC-FZ82 camera in IA+ mode - Photos and videos are dark despite all possible adjustments - Is this a defect of this device? - Thank you.

    Have you tried resetting your settings? Sometimes the APN, given the large number of parameters it has to take into account, acts up a bit.

    Now, with the other modes, do you have the same problem?

    Finally, here is a tip that’s just my own. if you want to shoot photos and have fun while learning how it works, drop the IA+ mode...

    To start, before pressing the shutter, try composing your photo, know what you’d like to have in it.

    To simplify, first at the sensitivity level of your camera, set yourself to automatic, the device will choose what it deems best given the surrounding light.

    Then, two solutions present themselves (to simplify to the extreme)

    - either your subject doesn’t move (landscape, posed portrait, object, monument): in this case set yourself to mode A (aperture priority), the camera will choose the speed appropriate to the aperture you choose (F2.8 up to F11 on this camera I think) so that your photo is well exposed. Of course it’s up to you not to move when you press the shutter. To avoid motion blur, vary the aperture (F2.8 to F11) so that your shutter speed is at least 1/125s

    - or your subject moves (sports photo, animal, child, unposed portraits...) : in this case, set yourself to mode S (shutter priority). You choose your speed and the camera will adjust the aperture to properly expose the photo.

    For your choice of speed, it all depends on how fast your subject moves, 1/125 for subjects that don’t move too much and why not 1/3000 if you want to freeze the flight of a hummingbird.

    Of course you also have to avoid motion blur (if it’s you who moves when pressing the shutter, it’s less troublesome in this case if you’re already at a high speed like 1/20 or shorter.

    Now, only one school for you, go ahead, shoot like crazy and analyze your photos. There will undoubtedly be many rejects at the start but don’t worry it’s only thanks to failures that you progress... Don’t get discouraged...

    Okay, it's good, I found it - It was so simple that I hadn't thought of it - It simply came from my Samsung PC monitor because when I view the same photos and videos on my 4K TV at home everything is perfect - I've wanted to change my PC monitor for a long time but as far as I know, at least, there isn't a 4K PC monitor - Thanks for your advice anyway.

      A simple search on a 4K PC monitor will show you a plethora;
