Good evening,
nothing has changed, everything is still relevant. The lure of false promises is still at play as here is the online presentation of the training:
"The Art and Technology program allows for the development of innovative practices within the framework of a creative approach, in relation to contemporary issues."
- So for the creative process and the artistic field: yes.
- For innovative technologies and "for emerging professions in the fields of art, industry, research and development." it's NO NO AND NO, you will learn NOTHING!
The teaching team claims a feigned interest in these applied orientations in the industrial sectors in the master's program description but harbors a real contempt for them.
Interactions with some professors are sometimes malicious and border on mistreatment.
The major gaps observed in some of the speakers in the field of innovative technologies force students to educate themselves completely on their own. The teachers act as inspectors of completed work and NOT FOLLOW-UPS, as there is no support, no contact, whether by email or video conference. The project reference teachers are completely unaware of the work being undertaken by the students.
Internship follow-ups are nonexistent.
The communication of information is disorganized, and emails can come in at night with instructions for the next day.
To add to the picture, students regularly witness the evident discord between the teachers and the educational coordinator, being targeted during inappropriate statements, leaving the class feeling very uncomfortable.
I apologize for this bleak assessment, but I think it would be better to look towards another master's program if digital creation and new technologies are at the heart of your concerns (for a purely artistic orientation, why not).
Personally, I was forced to abandon this program for all the reasons mentioned above and was fortunate to then redirect myself to another master's program in digital creation where I completely thrived.
Toulon (INGEMEDIA), Paris 8, Valenciennes seem to offer good programs, why not inquire with their students?
Good luck in your search. -
ContributorCCM does not have a school observatory nor a qualitative ranking system for teaching.
The best thing for you is to meet former students, both for this master's program in Toulouse and for the others that exist...

ContributorNo; it's really too random: you need to meet them!

Yes, this master's program promises assistance and training in digital technologies that professionalize us. In fact, the master's is focused on the arts, and we have to manage on our own to find an internship, complete projects, programming is barely covered and not in depth, and quite outdated as well, all without support from the academic coordinator, who is very bitter and unpleasant and sends us last-minute emails with vague instructions and disengaged, jaded teachers. Might as well be independent and carve your own path because you will only learn the techniques by yourself (this will save you from wasting money and doing unpaid work to promote the master's with mandatory exhibitions). I advise you, if you want to specialize in new technologies and the creative industry, to go elsewhere, to a more hands-on school; they are good in Canada, you'll waste less time and at least have a better chance of securing a job upon graduation. Because this master's program is just wasting your time due to its disorganization and, as Armelle said, they are even against companies and industries.
