Slow WiFi speed on Free fiber

Hello,
I have a Freebox Mini 4K with fiber that goes up to 900mb/s when I connect via Ethernet.
However, on Wi-Fi, it’s a different story; I reach a maximum of 70mb/s, and most often I’m below 50mb/s, and I had a glorious result of 1mb/s an hour ago (which explains the crazy disconnections during some Skype meetings...)
After several calls to Free's customer service and receiving different answers from each one, I don’t know what to do anymore.
A technician came by and saw no connection issues and told me that I either had to change my box or call customer service for them to give me more Wi-Fi bandwidth (I don’t understand how they can do that, but okay...)
My last call ended with the conclusion that I had no problems, and yes, Wi-Fi is slower; I should just buy powerline adapters to connect my computers, and that’s it.
And then, what do I do for a living to need such a good bandwidth (I work in audiovisual and play games, and I don’t see why I should justify myself in the first place)
I’m reaching out to you to see if you think this is all normal or if they just want to get rid of me.
A few additional notes:
- I’ve tested on Mac and PC, both recent machines with good Wi-Fi cards, and always get the same results
- I live in an apartment building in Paris where there are apparently disturbances according to Free

Hi,
if you want the best speed from your fiber connection, it’s a direct ethernet cable, that’s it, and you know it.
After that,
the Wi-Fi speed of the fbx mini is known for its weakness.
If you want better, you need to add a decent external Wi-Fi access point, turn off the box’s Wi-Fi, and get a top-notch Wi-Fi card, at least 802.11ac or Wi-Fi 5 for your PC.
P.S.,
you’re lucky they’re sending a technician for a Wi-Fi speed issue; usually, they don’t send someone for that.
