How to recover screenshots when the screenshots folder in images has disappeared?

Hello everyone.
I accidentally deleted the Screenshots subfolder located in the Images folder on my computer, and now I can't find my captures taken with the keyboard shortcut Windows + Print Screen.
I’ve tried the other methods suggested on the forum, but I can't get it to work.

Hello, have you tried recreating the "Screenshots" folder?

Yes, I tried it but it doesn't work. I found a workaround: it seems that the capture is temporarily stored in the clipboard and by going into Word (Paint or Photos don't work with this method) and then pasting, I can retrieve my image; it's not great but it's better than nothing. Thanks anyway for your suggestion.

Good to know, if the Screenshot subfolder has been deleted, it will be recreated automatically with the next capture made, but it won't recover captures made before its deletion.
To recover these mistakenly deleted captures, you will need to use specialized software (Recuva or equivalent).
