Unable to connect the SCART VHS recorder to the Samsung TV via HDMI.

Hello,
I bought a SCART to HDMI adapter and I only received a USB cable. I understand everything, but nothing works; the source does not recognize the device. Why?

Should I connect both wires, USB and HDMI, because fortunately, I had one at home.

      Thank you for your message.

      It’s a SCART-HDMI / Scaler converter purchased from Mytrentyphone, with a Scart/HDMI port and a USB cable; there was no HDMI cable included, but we had one in reserve.

      I was unable to find the connected device, it was not recognized.

        It needs to be powered via USB cable from a free USB port on the TV or a 220V -> USB type charger like a phone charger.

          Good evening,

          Thank you for your information. We will try the USB cables; what I don't quite understand is why I can't find the device. On number 1, it's the TV, so we connected it to number 3, but it doesn't recognize it!

              Hello,

              Thank you for your information. Miraculously, the connection worked, but we don't really know how! My spouse unplugged the HDMI cable and plugged it back in, and the connection was established. There may have been a poor contact.
