Audacity and the new MacBook headset Solved

Question

Hello,
I have version 2.4.2. (Audacity) and a new MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, I can't switch to the headphone port - Audacity only allows "speaker".
Can someone help me?

Good evening,

In Audacity's preferences, you indeed won't find the option "headphones"; however, in the System Preferences / Sound, provided that headphones are connected to the Mac, you will have that option, and Audacity will produce sound through the connected headphones. Thus, it is in the System Preferences that you need to select the output to the headphones (or headset).

Did you set "external speakers" as the output in Audacity?
