Hello,
I downloaded the OPEN OFFICE software in French, but once it was installed, it is in English.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

Go to this page: https://www.openoffice.org/download/index.html
Make your choice:
- the version of the system,
- the language (English)
- and version 4.1.8 of OpenOffice
- and click on Download full installation.
It should work and I think it's the simplest option.
Indeed, it is possible to change your version from English to French by downloading/installing the language pack (Download language pack)
To install the language pack, quit OpenOffice > launch the language pack > Open OpenOffice > Quit and reopen.
But you will then need to install the French dictionary (https://extensions.openoffice.org/fr/node/17340)

I downloaded the software from the official French site, but I am currently close to America and that might be why this software switched to English automatically?
I opened your link, but nothing indicates on the page how to change the language.
I looked in OPEN OFFICE, but "language" is inactive. I probably need to install a French language pack. But I don't know where to find this package or how to place it correctly afterwards.
I have to step out, but I will return later hoping to have a response.
