How to know if my computer has a PCI Express slot

Hello everyone,

In order to install an external graphics card, I would like to know if my laptop has a PCI express port. I have a Toshiba PORTEGE Z30t-A. Windows 10 64bit.

Also, I would like to ask if anyone knows why my PC doesn't recognize the additional RAM I am adding? (it already has 8GB)

And will an external graphics card allow me to comfortably edit videos (considering I have a core i5 4200u processor)?

    Good evening,

    For your PCIe card, you need to read the motherboard manual on the Toshiba website... But it's a laptop, so there's no space... and it doesn't have a PCIe expansion, in my opinion.

    -- Your RAM isn't working because you didn't use the same one... check the one that's in place... copy the same reference, and get the same one with a different capacity depending on what you want to do... the maximum is 16 GB on this PC... and no mixing...

    -- You could do video editing... Not too large, but the word comfortably is too much... Nothing beats a desktop with a fast processor... and a lot of RAM.

    However, I am still surprised that a laptop does not have a PCIe slot, as I know that some do. Also, I know that the Wi-Fi card is usually connected to it. Furthermore, after digging a little deeper, I found this (attached). Does this mean that I have a PCIe slot that I could use?

    It is true that often the mini WiFi card is mounted on a PCIe Port 3 in 9C14 which allows manufacturers to use WiFi cards, outsourced and adapted to the radio frequency regulations of all countries in the world...

    You can try to remove this WiFi card (if it is removable) to put your option in... but you will be responsible for the after-sales service... and you will no longer have WiFi.
