Hello,
I'm trying to connect a Thomson WHP3311BK headset to a Sharp LC-39LE750E TV, but there's no sound coming through the headset, neither from the direct jack connection nor from the red and white plugs connected to the headset base's jack. The power signal light on the base doesn't turn on. The sound still comes from the TV speakers... I also tested with iPhone earbuds and the same issue occurred... I've gone through the TV's manual to check if there's a "switch" or headphone function, but I couldn't find anything. I'm out of ideas! The goal is to be able to watch TV without disturbing others' sleep. Thank you for your advice.
Configuration: iPhone / Safari 12.1.2

Yes, yes! If there's a way to turn off the speakers, I'll take it, but the whole point was to make the sleepless nights go by faster with the TV without disturbing the rest of the family, and that's fine. Thank you again for everyone's responsiveness and for the effective solution. Have a good evening and be careful.
Hello,
The red and white RCA connectors are inputs, not outputs.
However, this TV does have a headphone jack output (3.5mm) and I don't understand why that isn't working...

Did you forget to plug it into the mains?

Thank you for your response. Okay for the white and red plugs... my bad, since they come with the headset I didn’t look any further. Yes, my base is properly connected, and the headset charging indicator is green. I tested the headset on another TV and it works perfectly. The TV's jack socket has a "headphone" symbol, so it's the right one....
Hello,
This television has two audio outputs...
- one analog output (headphone jack 3.5mm)
- one digital output via coaxial cable
.
The RCA jacks (red and white) are inputs.
The headset connected to the jack with the provided cable should work and, in general, simultaneously turn off the TV speakers.
However, a discussion is needed to adjust the headphone volume (see manual on page 22)

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...

Hello,
I downloaded the TV user manual in PDF... https://www.modesdemploi.fr/sharp/aquos-lc-39le752e/mode-d-emploi?p=6 On page 6/64, it mentions the side and rear view...
The numbered connector "1" indicates an "HDMI/PC ANALOG AUDIO INPUT", this is where you plug in your wireless headset... https://www.thomson-av-accessories.eu/00131959/thomson-casque-ss-fil-tv-whp3311bk-circum-aur-sta-chrg-sys-pll-100m-nr
