My Pioneer hi-fi system is not working anymore.

I went to pick up a hi-fi system from my brother-in-law, it was supposed to arrive at my place just fine, I plug it in and then nothing, no reaction. Can you please help me?

    No reaction Meaning it doesn't turn on anymore? It doesn't make any sound?

      I have another device that plugs into the hi-fi, there was nothing either, I plugged it directly into the network and now it works fine.

    Was the pioneer plugged into a faulty electrical socket?

    Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
    Especially when it's not there...

    Hi,
    What model is this chain? Without that, we won't get very far.

    If you connect other equipment to the back of the amp, check whether they are "switched" or "unswitched" sockets, because if they are "switched," then the amp must be on to power the rest connected to it.

      When turning on the amplifier, there should be at least one indicator light somewhere.

      If the amplifier is properly connected to a working outlet, it is important to differentiate whether it is not turning on or if it is not producing any sound, in which case it is probably a wiring or configuration error.

      Depending on the model, you should also be able to hear the activation of the relay/relays at startup or not.

      Now, without the model of the HIFI system, I won’t go any further into potential assumptions; it’s pointless.

      As soon as I get home, I'll send you the model, and the amp has no reaction when switched on, neither light nor sound.

      I found the service manual, but without being able to perform tests, it might not be very helpful.

      Did the system work before it was moved? It's unlikely that the transport killed it...
      Check at the back to see if the voltage selector, if there is one, is set to 220-240V.

      Try turning it on after disconnecting the speakers and any additional devices from the cassette amplifier. To see if it powers on.

      Finally, if you still can't see any signs of life from the amplifier, I won't be able to do anything remotely without being able to perform tests on the device.

      And I assume you aren't equipped or knowledgeable enough to tackle the amplifier with the service manual to find the problem; otherwise, you probably wouldn't be posting here.

      The input at the back of the amp that allows you to connect a second device, is it a switched or unswitched socket? It should be marked on it.
