Hello everyone, I just bought and installed my new motherboard, an Asus Strix Z390 E Gaming. I'm installing all my old components onto it, so far so good. But when I try to boot, it always goes to the BIOS and I can't boot from my Samsung Evo 960 NVMe M.2 SSD even though Windows 10 is installed on it. It worked perfectly fine with my old motherboard, but now it's impossible even though my motherboard detects my SSD and my 2TB HDD.
Help me out, I really don't know what to do and I don't want to take it in; I know it's something simple. Anyway, ask me for more information about the config if you need it.

How did you reinstall it?
Is your Windows 10 installation in UEFI?
Because if your old motherboard is very old, it was in legacy BIOS.
So it won't boot if you put Windows 10 back as it is.
You need to switch the boot in the BIOS to legacy BIOS by enabling CSM.

From a working computer: Use Media Creation on a valid computer to create a USB installation drive: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10SO- Boot from it by changing the boot sequence to indicate the USB drive or DVD: How to boot the computer from USB drive
- You will arrive at the Windows installation program.
- Go to repair your computer (menu at the bottom left on the main page)
- Advanced troubleshooting options
- Command prompt
- type diskpart and hit enter
Give the result of the following commands:
list disk
sel disk 0
list partition
list volume
exit
Take a photo of the result and provide it as a screenshot.
and provide the result of the command:bcdedit /v

Thank you for your response Malekal, I will do all that but do I need a USB key then? And for my old motherboard it was a z 370 h so 2017 Max I had everything set to uefi with CSM enabled but when it boots it shows something like I need to boot from another device, a bit like what you're telling me. Thank you very much for your response and your explanations, I will do that when I get back and send you the screenshots as requested.

Oh, I reread it and I'm such an idiot xD the screenshots are for the commands to type, I didn't understand that, so normally I don't need a USB key because I don't have one on hand, that's why I asked. Thanks, I'll do that when I get home later this afternoon and I'll let you know if it's resolved.
