Hello,
let me explain, my phone is at rest, the screen is black, it rings, I press the button on the side to wake it up and the ringtone stops, nothing happens anymore. In fact, my phone is good for a multitude of things except answering calls!!! If the screen is active, I wait a little and then the caller's number shows up and I can answer... you said Strange!!!
it's a Wiko Tommy 3
thank you for your help

    Hello

I don't see what's strange. You answer via the screen, not by pressing a side button as you say, because that hangs up the call. Nothing unusual unless you're expressing yourself incorrectly.

Apparently, you're mistaken. Here is your FAQ, and read this to answer a call

    https://support-en.wikomobile.com/sav-2088-10835-answering-or-rejecting-a-call

Then you can set the power button to answer if that really bothers you. Read this

    To activate this setting:

    Open your device's Settings app.
    Select Accessibility.
Enable the Power Button option to hang up.

Hello, I don't think so. I went on the website, but it doesn't answer my question. It's not about knowing how to respond... I know, but I can't because the ringtone cuts off as soon as I want to do it.

Reread me, I modified my message. Because I have the impression that you are making a mistake. Why press a button (which one anyway?) on the edge when it is not intended for that, unless you programmed it yourself by going through

the Settings app on your device. Settings app.
        Select Accessibility.
Activate the Power Button option to hang up.

    Hello,

As Ondine says, you're not proceeding correctly to respond when your phone is locked.

You were told this and given what you’re saying, it seems you haven't come across the same page:

You receive a call, it rings.
The screen displays the "phone" image
    You slide it up
So you only touch the screen and not the buttons on the side.

Do the test by calling yourself from your landline.

Good evening, I think I'm expressing myself poorly... I know how to answer if I see the phone icon, that means my screen is on, so that's fine, BUT if the screen is in sleep mode and I want to answer, I press the button (which is on the side of the phone) to turn the screen on and immediately the ringtone (Wiko Gommy3) stops! I have to call my contact back. Additionally, I have a second phone, a Samsung, and I don't have this problem.
I've tried to change the settings as you advised… still the same. I'm going to try the Power Button option to hang up.
Thank you for your patience with me in any case
If I succeed, I will let you know
    Thanks again

"if the screen is in sleep mode."
Yes, well understood, in sleep mode yes, but normally the "wake" call brings up the screen that then shows a picture of a "receiver" and we slide it up.

Well, no, not on my phone, dear gugu01! But since it's resolved, just activate the on/off option to hang up
I wish you a good night and thanks again.
