Steam: Uninstall a game and reinstall it without losing saves?

Hello,

I have a problem with a VR game on Steam, it won't launch anymore. I uninstalled SteamVR, reinstalled it, but nothing changes. I installed the SteamVR beta, still the same issue.

Is there a way to uninstall the game and then reinstall it without losing my saves?

Hello,
Just save the folder where your game keeps your saves out of caution, so you can restore it once the reinstallation is done.

Hi,
Steam often saves game saves in your Steam account.
However, this is not the case for all games.
And I can’t remember if it's a feature implemented in Steam that works for all games, or if it’s up to each game to provide this feature.

Saves can be stored in several different locations locally.
It can be somewhere in the game's directory, in My Documents, in the AppData folder...
