"D:/ " and "Downloads" merged by mistake

Good evening,

While trying to move my "Downloads" folder to my D:/ drive, I mistakenly set the location to "D:/" instead of "D:/Downloads," which means that now all downloads are mixed up in the drive.
I have tried to restore the default settings to revert the downloads to their original location, but since the "Downloads" folder and the "D:/" drive have merged into one, it doesn't work because Windows is trying to move all the folders like "DeliveryOptimization," for example.
Even the name of the folder in the file explorer has changed from "Downloads" to "D:/."
There you go, I've explained my problem, and I would really like to solve it please.

    Hello, 

    By trying to move my "Downloads" folder to my D:/ drive, I mistakenly set the location to "D:/" instead of "D:/downloads," which means that now all the downloads are in disarray on the drive.


    Try this procedure to restore the default location of your Downloads folder.
    To do this, save this .bat file → Downloads
    Save it to your Desktop.
    Run the .bat file. Downloads
    Confirm each time by clicking OK....OK
    The screen temporarily goes black when a command prompt opens and closes when the explorer restarts to apply the Registry changes.
    Restart your PC.

    Hello,
    there's no longer a "downloads" folder in "c:/users/name/"?

    I'll test it via the registry and let you know.

      In Windows 10, in the "Quick Access" or "This PC" section, right-click on Downloads > Properties > Location

      What I wanted to try via the registry doesn't work on Windows 10, but it might work on Windows 7; I should give it a try.

      No, there is no longer a "downloads" folder in "c:/users/name/", and as mentioned earlier, in quick access, the "downloads" folder is now named "D:/". And I cannot change the location of the latter because all the folders in "D:/" want to be moved.

    Hello,
    in your explorer, you sort your files by creation date, and that will very likely give you all the latest files you have written on that drive, so all the content of your "downloads" folder will be first.
    select the files then:
    CUT
    PASTE

      Where should I paste them since "downloads" in quick access goes directly to "D:/ "?
      And if I cut all the files from "D:/" except for the downloads and temporarily paste them on the desktop, then change the download location and put them back in their original place, and then return the files from "D:/" to their place, is there a chance that this will work?
