Connecting the box, TV, and home cinema via HDMI

I was at the internet connection between the box and the TV decoder; the subtleties you're talking about escape me.
When I connect my TV and my decoder, I use an HDMI cable, and between my box and my decoder, an RJ45 cable so that my decoder can be updated by my box.
My PS3 is connected to both the TV and the box via HDMI, and an RJ45 cable to connect to the PlayStation Network, and that's it.
People who own a home theater should connect their TV directly to it via HDMI for sound and image, and DTS or 5.1 or better.
If the home theater has several different connectors, you just need to connect your devices or consoles to it for top-quality sound and image.

Yes, if they are playing a DVD, it's standard HDMI to display the image on the TV and keep the good sound on the home theater.

However, if they are watching TV channels coming from their decoder and want sound only on their home theater, they must use an HDMI ARC, which is the only HDMI port capable of outputting sound to send it to the home (TV sound output to home).
The other HDMI ports are just inputs.

I don't have that RJ45 cable. I connected the cable between my SFR box and the TV HDMI1, then with a second cable from the HDMI out of my hi-fi system to the TV HDMI 2.

In any case, an RJ 45 cable is required between the box and the decoder, as it needs internet updates; the HDMI cable is not an internet cable, it transmits sound and image better and faster than a scart connection, for example, between the decoder and your home cinema and your TV.
