Connecting Sharp lc 46 xd 1e TV to soundbar

Hello,
I have a Sharp TV model 46xd1e with an analog RCA output that I connect to a Bose SoundTouch 300 soundbar with a digital optical input.
I plan to install a Lindy analog-to-digital converter.
Is that a good choice?
If the connection is fine, how can I turn off the sound on the TV speakers and only have it on the soundbar?

    Hello,
    Sharp pc 46 xd1e? Isn't it Sharp LC-46XD1E?
    To connect the RCA audio output of the television (or the headphone output) to the soundbar that only has an optical input, you will indeed need a RCA In to Optical Out converter
    As for cutting the speakers, I didn't find any special command to cut the speakers when using the RCA audio output.
    Maybe just turning down the volume is enough?
    However, when using the headphone output, the television's speakers are automatically turned off, but this requires a 3.5mm jack to RCA cable to connect the headphone output to the converter 

     Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.

      My TV is indeed a Sharp LC 46 XD 1 E.

        PC-46XD1E has no echo on Sharp?
