Hello,
I have several questions regarding the audio output of my TV:
°on the back panel, I have the following ports:
-Optic out
-R and L Cinch ports
-Pr-Pb-Y/AV2 (3 ports marked as such
-PC IN (PC port)
-Audio (1 mini jack stereo port) could it work for headphones?
It's difficult to know if they are line outs (cinch and mini jack)
No indication for headphone jack.
I would like
1 -->To connect my headphones in such a way that I can hear through them while cutting off the speakers.
I've tried everything (mini jack and double cinch plug), nothing works! Nothing cuts off the TV speakers
2-->To add two audio speakers to my TV for better listening (the TV speakers are a bit lousy)
In relation to that, can I connect a HiFi amplifier with its speakers? If yes, to which output???
Thank you so much for your help. I've been struggling for months and even TV repair technicians can't give me an answer...

    Hello,
    The headphone jack should be able to cut off the TV's speakers, but if it doesn't do so automatically, there is a setting to adjust in the TV's audio menu, and make sure to plug into the headphone output and not the 3.5mm jack input next to the VGA input for computer audio.
    For better performance, the best option is indeed a HiFi amplifier with a digital optical input that you will connect to the "Optic out" of your TV with a good optical cable.
    All other RCA (or cinch) plugs are inputs.
    Cinch L and R jacks = left and right audio input.
    Pr-Pb-Y/AV2 = component video input (red, green, blue) or composite (on green).

    I finally found that damn headphone jack...on the side.
    The Grundig instruction manual really leaves a lot to be desired.

    And me...I never thought to look on that "side"!

    This is a headphone output, usually on the side...as for the RCA, they are all inputs

    Just a remark: I do have an audio menu with headphones output (volume control) but since I don’t have any input marked headphones!!
    which one should I connect to??
    the double RCA input?
