6 and 8 pin connectors for GTX 1070 graphics card

Hello,

I am building my PC
And my GTX 1070 gaming X requires two 6 and 8 pin connections.
My VS550 power supply has what I need, that is: two 6+2 pins, so that's fine! However, they are on the same cable, is that okay or not?

    Hello,

    the Corsair VS 550 W power supply has 2 PCI-E cables, one with 6 pins and the other with 6+2 pins.

    What you've done in the photo doesn't seem correct to me, as I only see one PCI-E cable going to the sockets of the GTX ...
    you need to use one cable for each PCI-E socket of the GTX.

      The problem is that on all the websites we consult, it states 2 connectors with 8 (6+2) pins, not one with 8 and one with 6 pins. In its photo, it appears to be a cable with 2 ends like those found in SATA power supply cables.

        That's true, I said one with 6 because I see one in the photo on the Corsair site.
        But whether it’s 2 times 6+2 or one 6 and one 6+2 doesn't change the fact that you need one cable per socket of the GTX in principle.

        I don't quite understand what he did in the photo either...
        Maybe this power supply is special, with the 2 PCI-E sockets on the same cable.

        PS: Is there another PCI-E cable on your power supply?
        Can you show the pins of these connectors not plugged into the GTX please?

      So yes, the power supply has two 6+2 connectors but they are on the same cable actually... It's a cable that splits into two ends...
      For the 6 I just didn't use the +2.
      What exactly is PCIE? Because the PCIE I know is the slot where I inserted my card.
      I'll take another photo and post it after
