Hello,
I found a solution to watch Belgian programs on Auvio when you're in France or elsewhere, and I wanted to share it with you.
On Firefox: in the add-ons tab, search for the extension "SetupVPN." Install it, create an account (I did it with a disposable email!) then choose Belgium as your VPN.
Go to the site rtbf.be/auvio/ then look for a video.
On the video page, you have 3 options:
- watch it in streaming (the speed is quite good, it loads quickly, and I watched for 30 seconds without interruption!)
- download it via HLS stream with the famous add-on DownloadHelper.
- download it via the page source code: right click --> view source code --> find a link that ends with .mp4 (for example: http://rtbf-vod.l3.freecaster.net/vod/rtbf/geo/be/l/lKUqkxJJsu-576p.mp4) --> http://rtbf-vod.l3.freecaster.net/vod/rtbf/geo/be/l/lKUqkxJJsu-576p.mp4 --> copy and paste the link into a new tab in the address bar. A download window will open.
I chose the last method, and in 10 minutes I downloaded 2 episodes of a series.
I tried to watch a video in streaming on RTS, but it doesn't work; despite the Swiss VPN, the site still thinks I'm abroad!
I hope I was clear enough in my explanations. If you have other ideas to catch RTBF, RTS, or other channels from abroad, feel free to share!
Configuration: Configuration: Linux / Firefox 52.0
