Good evening

I recently bought a Corsair HX1050 power supply on a classifieds site. The power supply works without issue except for a few things that are on my mind; when I start and shut down my PC, the power supply makes a small "clicking" noise. I'm not sure if this is serious, but I would like to be sure.

Thank you.

    Hello

This problem occurs from time to time with some power supplies; Corsair is quite often affected. This noise (scintillation) is often produced by the power transistors or the switching capacitor (in this case, it’s more of a buzzing or coil whine)
Normally, this does not affect the quality or lifespan of the power supply.
If the noise is really bothersome, do not hesitate to use the warranty and request an RMA from Corsair or from the store that sold it to you.

I'm digging up the topic a bit ^^ but the power supply didn't last long, it ultimately stopped providing stable voltages at all, especially on the 3.3V, and cut off my graphics card as well as my connected peripherals. Since I don't have any warranty on it, it's unfortunately in the trash; I replaced it with an FSP.
