Hello,
I have noticed an unauthorized withdrawal of €49 from my bank account in favor of Amazon for a Premium card that I did not request.
No message from Amazon informed me of this withdrawal, which I discovered while reviewing my accounts. I cannot access my Amazon account because the password for the account cannot be changed.
Not being the first to report Amazon's practices, I am surprised that they can continue with such practices.
What should I do to obtain the desired refund and to put an end to these practices?

Hello.
Free priority shipping is available on millions of eligible items. During the free trial period of the Amazon Prime offer, we have set the shipping fee to just 1 penny per book for an order containing books and shipped by Amazon.
By clicking, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted the Amazon Prime Terms and Conditions. At the end of the 30-day free trial, the program will automatically convert to a paid subscription costing EUR 49.00 per year. Your default payment method or, if that fails, another saved payment method will be charged EUR 49.00 for the following year and each year thereafter, and your benefits will continue automatically. If you do not wish to convert your free trial or renew your paid subscription, go to Your Account settings and select "Do not continue" or "End membership," and your payment method will not be charged for the following year.
So when you place the order, be careful.
There is no fraud at Amazon
I have no shares in the company, but making bad publicity for a large startup where workers are struggling to prepare your orders ( seen on TV in hidden camera) and who are paid minimum wage and under constant surveillance like slaves is really unkind of you, and it’s for them that I wanted to react.
Have a good day

Jafferty, I unsubscribed from Amazon Prime but they are still charging me €5.99, what should I do?
Can we contact them directly or file a complaint at the police station?

Hello,
I completely agree with what diablo13800 wrote:
When placing an order, you don't click recklessly, especially when accepting a free one-month offer. After that, you will have to pay!
Regarding Amazon Prime, it's something that can be beneficial for frequent buyers: one-day delivery for certain items and advantages on express deliveries. When you know the cost of a delivery via Chronopost Express, it can be quickly recouped if you order a lot. (That's obviously what Amazon hopes for).
There are also other interesting services, like access to Amazon Photos with unlimited storage (compared to $50 per year for Flickr for a similar service).
@PoulpeDeNoel: The people at Amazon handling your case don't care one bit about your health: they're in business, not social work. Don't hope to move them.
You have a knack for making poor choices: if you're stuck and can't get your €49 refunded, at least make the most of it! So don't boycott Amazon and shop with them to take advantage of the delivery perks. It's probably hard to swallow because you're very angry with them, but it's the only logical thing you can do (while waiting to permanently cancel).
I want to clarify that I haven't subscribed to Amazon Prime!
Have a nice day everyone!

Hello,
I'm not canceling since I have 1799 titles on my cloud and I've spent €4,131.62 with them.
It's not the €49 that makes me angry, it's the fact that I wasn't notified about this subscription like many others, and I never clicked on the free one-month Prime.
PS: We should have the right to choose what suits us in this subscription, and you are probably going to sign up for a subscription just to take advantage of the one-day delivery service!
Have a good day to you and everyone!

3rd item: IIYAMA Black Hawk 24.5" (62.2 cm) HDMI 1920 x 1080 Black Monitor
Coming soon: I need to replace my LG 82 cm, which consumes 150 watts, with a 102 cm 4K UHD screen that consumes 60 watts since they have lowered their prices.
Don't forget to have it read to the boss of the materials at 67 Boulevard du Général Leclerc, 92110 Clichy, France.

Hello,
What is highly questionable about Amazon's policy is that when you place an order, you are immediately directed towards the Prime offer: You really have to pay close attention to continue while ignoring this offer.
Even though it is clearly stated that it is a free trial (which means you will have to pay afterwards!), it is not right to lead the customer towards a service they may not necessarily be interested in.
We should be able to order without having to be wary of "traps" that distracted or inexperienced people might fall into.
Best regards

Did I need a smoke detector immediately since I've been without one since 2001, or a sticky note and a flashlight? However, I'm still waiting for the CD, which was estimated for March 9.
Sellers remain honest nonetheless!

Hello, I was also charged 49 euros,
I clicked on cancel Amazon Prime as mentioned above, and I am waiting for the refund.
I was shocked when I saw that, it's terrible.
One-day delivery is good but not being charged like that without warning.

Hello,
I also have a Prime subscription that I haven't used since June 2020. I left France 16 months ago, so I no longer have my SFR mobile, and they don't deliver to Abidjan. Despite that, I receive a package of batteries every two months at my old address in LGM 34380. Obviously, I'm being charged for it, so it's super easy with our Visa numbers and pictogram. What a b****, my friend!

This morning, to my surprise, Amazon deducted €49 from my account without my authorization (Premium Subscription). When I called Amazon, the person who answered informed me that she would cancel my subscription and refund me within 1 to 3 weeks. I think this is a scam, theft; they charge €49 to thousands of people, refund them 3 weeks after using that money and profiting from our money without our authorization. They take us for fools. I am really disappointed with Amazon.
Hi
By the way... the pre-checked boxes are indeed "borderline" (euphemism) as a method, but it seems there are even more twisted practices...
I don't know if they're still doing it, but see here:

AMAZON=scam. It is a company with managers (the worst kind of people) trying to create subscription systems to collect money (they even have bonuses for this). Often without realizing it (and that's the trick), you authorize (but it's never ever clear) automatic withdrawals. Their only goal is to get your card number... and set up these same subscriptions (which are lifelong... and automatically renewed). Of course, if you check your accounts later and understand the scam, they will refund your money (and of course, they will still hold onto your money for about twenty days... money brings profits). There are still millions of people being scammed... do the calculation. Hopefully, the fraud commission will do something. It would also be good if Europe dealt with this type of scam... and not just the security of banks... which are private companies.
Hello, I have just been charged €49 without having done anything!
I don’t understand, or rather I understand too well, why Amazon enjoys (that's the word) such impunity.
Amazon only aims to convert our desires, our dreams into NEEDS that it proposes to satisfy as quickly as possible... That is what is in control and will govern us as long as we do not understand.
From Brasilia, I applied via Skype (a tentacle of another dragon...) by dialing 330805101420, and it worked right away. The interlocutor was terse, recording for my "safety" was necessary and promised to ensure that this does not happen again (cynicism of Amazon). As soon as I got the refund, I deleted the only credit card they had available... Another demon of convenience!

In fact, we all get screwed!!!
Me too... and I realize in hindsight that I was charged on:
- September 28, 2017!
- December 30, 2019!
- today!!
Of course, I’m going to call them because it's shameful, especially since I've never used Amazon Prime.
Can someone tell me if the call to 0805101420 is free or how much it costs?
Thanks in advance...

Hello,
It was on Amazon.be. They have been charging me €7.99 since August 2018. That totals about €240.
I reported the issue to Amazon and my bank.
And I plan to file a complaint if they refuse to refund me.

Hello,
I am in the same situation as you. I have been charged €49 per year since...2016!
I don’t often monitor my spending statements related to this card (I have several cards)
I contacted Amazon, who agreed to refund me for the last year but refuses to refund me for the period between 2016 and 2020.
Moreover, I have never benefited from this offer during all this time, which proves that I never requested this service.
Have you filed a complaint?
Thank you in advance,
Leo

Same here! I'm amazed to discover that I've subscribed to Amazon Prime...without actually subscribing. The worst part is that I haven't ordered anything at all! However, I just looked at some items that day and possibly put some in my cart but didn't go any further. I didn't validate any orders, nor did I receive any confirmation emails for anything. This is coercive and abusive selling. How can such a large company engage in such low behavior?! I will never order from such a childish site again!
Hello. Same problem with the Amazon Prime card charge on 04/13/2021. Not ordered.
Call the number 0805101420; the refund will be processed within 10 days, provided that no other orders are placed to avoid activating the offer and losing the refund.

I had the same problem. I never subscribed to this service and they withdrew $90 from my account. The amount was deducted in February while my first purchase was in May. Just for fun, I wouldn't have gone on the Amazon site to subscribe for nothing. Never. I asked Amazon for a refund and they told me no, I used the benefits related to it.. It's hidden theft. Amazon automatically subscribes people without their consent. I filed a complaint and I will see where it leads me.
I just had the same experience. - 49 euros on my account.
You need to call 0 805 10 14 20, a representative answered me in a few seconds and resolved the issue in less than 4 minutes.
Cancellation and refund. With confirmation by email from them.
Their system is abusive and the representative seems to be accustomed to this kind of manipulation.

To avoid any recurrence of this fraudulent posture: the best solution is to not leave any payment method available to Amazon as soon as your last purchase is processed.
Some may find this procedure complicated... Devoured and vulnerable as we are to the demons of convenience!

0805101420: a voicemail. You must listen to the entire message in order to be redirected to an advisor who will handle the cancellation request and process the refund. This takes 4-5 minutes, and a confirmation email is sent. The advisor even asks if the email has been received. The refund is processed within a few days, depending on the bank.
For the refund, Amazon doesn't seem to have a problem with that. However, as for me, they tell me they can't process a refund because I've taken advantage of the service by purchasing items. I've made at least 6 purchases where I received the items in 2 days, and when I realized the charge, it was in November while this charge has been ongoing since February. I've tried arguing with them, telling them that I couldn't care less if I benefited from the service or not because I was never aware that I was entitled to this service. I don't care about receiving my items in 5 or 10 days (as long as I receive them lol), but well... They don't want to refund me because they say their system doesn't allow it...
Hello, while it may be resolved for others, it isn't for me since I didn’t know and I ordered items in February, a month before my card expired.

The thing to do is that as soon as you buy something on Amazon, go immediately to delete your credit card because Amazon uses that to charge money. They charged me $90 even though I didn't subscribe to the Amazon Prime program. The charge was made last February and my first purchase was in May. They couldn't even explain how money was taken from my card... They didn't even want to offer me a refund because they say I benefited from the two-day shipping service. I only noticed this charge in November. It's theft. A class action should be taken against them.
I will go all the way, here is the email I sent along with the one above.

I will write by registered mail to your organization addressed to your boss for the permanent deletion of my account, and I will not fail to make a video on YouTube for the reasons below after carefully taking screenshots since 2005 when I became a customer with you.
Best regards
@Diagece Thanks for the "deleting the credit card" tip where we only see blue with Amazon!

Hello everyone, here is the email I sent again to Amazon
Hello, I want to take advantage of this
Free one-day shipping on millions of items sold or shipped by Amazon with no minimum purchase, in mainland France, Monaco, and Belgium, except for Corsica, military addresses, overseas territories, and PO boxes. Access to items that are exclusively reserved for Amazon Prime members, Priority Prime access,
And not Prime Video, Prime Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, Prime Reading, the Kindle Lending Library, Prime Photos, Twitch Prime, 20% off eligible baby diapers and wipes with the Subscribe & Save program "I don't have any children and you should learn to know your long-time customers who pay your salary." The ability to share delivery benefits with a member of your household, I am single and have no family,
Remove what is "not" and I think we can come to an agreement, because I don't need "useless primes," I'm not going to spend my life on Amazon to please you
If that’s not the case, I will bring this matter of abusive subscription with useless services that do not suit me to a consumer protection association.
I have notified the post office for the certicode, and as you know, I am not the only one in this situation.
On April 2, 2019: I have an appointment with the cardiologist because I have high blood pressure, it would just be missing that tomorrow there is a death because of Amazon for an abusive subscription for services that will not be used.
It’s like going to a restaurant, and I make you eat the entire menu.
Sincerely

The matter here https://www.60millions-mag.com/forum/post240732.html#p240732 so they can read you! And when I receive my orders for my 3 rap CDs from the USA ordered on 22.02.2019 and expected on 07.03.19 for the first, 13.03.19 for the second, and 15.03.19 for the third, I will delete my account and be done with Amazon.
Forced subscription to Amazon Prime
Hello,
I just had the same unpleasant surprise: unauthorized withdrawal of 49 euros by Amazon from my account (credit card payment), even though I did not request or order anything. I also did not receive any information from Amazon, and this payment does not appear in my order history. There are many "ifs" to get a refund: being able to log into your account, canceling the annual subscription, refusing the quarterly subscription, confirming the subscription cancellation multiple times by clicking on the right choice, and not having placed any orders in the meantime...
We should not have to request a refund for an order we never placed.
The process is ultimately simple: you need to file a complaint at the nearest police station (and possibly permanently close your Amazon account and shop locally). Just imagine the number of people who have been stolen without realizing it (in France or abroad)... at 49 euros per victim, Amazon is pulling off a nice white-collar crime that needs to be reported for future victims, but also to prevent this practice from being repeated in a few weeks.

Hello,
The 49 Euros is the subscription to Amazon Prime. You must have tried to access one of their Prime services (Video, Music, or Express delivery).
As for Express delivery, the Prime subscription is (last I heard) the default option. You just need to uncheck the box during your order to opt-out. To unsubscribe, you need to contact their customer service, which often provides refunds (unless you have used it for a while....)

Yes, it's clearly intentional fraud.
