My PS4 controller won't turn on. What should I do?

Hello,
Yesterday I was playing on my PS4 but my controller completely ran out of battery. I've charged it for over 3 hours and still nothing. Somehow, after several attempts, I managed to turn it on for 30 seconds, but it says the battery is low and that I need to charge it (even though it's connected to the cable) and it turns off. I left it charging all night and still nothing; I can't even turn it on anymore.
I’ve had it for less than 2 weeks and I hope you can help me. Thank you in advance.

Good evening,

Check that your controller is off and unplugged.

Press the reset button on the controller for 10 seconds.
The reset button is located on the back of the controller, see image: http://faq.en.playstation.com/euf/assets/images/FAQ%20Images/resetbutton.jpg

Reconnect your controller to your PS4 using the USB cable provided with your PS4 and leave it connected for about ten minutes and press the HOME button.

Let me know if it worked.

Thank you for your help, I just pressed the reset button and plugged the controller into the PS4 and now I'm waiting for about ten minutes. But remind me, I might look silly, but the home button is the PS button, right? (I don't want to get it wrong)

But what should I do if the controller lights up orange when it's charging but does not turn on?
