No one can really answer you.
It's like people asking why their package that was supposed to arrive on the 8th hasn't arrived.

In general, you should allow between 24 and 72 hours.
It's completely random.

So, for the holidays, to avoid any risk, send your mail at least 4 days in advance.
Knowing that depending on the time you drop off your letter, it might only get sent out the next day.

Why don't you ask at the closest post office, or your mailman?
We have no way of knowing.
But if you mail your card tomorrow, it will arrive before the holidays, that’s for sure!
And if you send your card online, it will only take a quarter of an hour...
