Dell U2515H Monitor Goes into "Power Save" Mode

Hello,

I’m here to present my problem hoping that someone will find a solution.

My Dell U2515H monitor, connected via mini DisplayPort to my tower, consistently goes into "power saving" mode whenever I switch to full screen in a game or return to Windows.
This mode is more than just a classic "sleep" mode, since the monitor indicates that there is simply no longer any signal coming from my PC, hence its entry into "power saving" mode.

It's simply unbearable. The only solution I've found is to temporarily switch the monitor to another source (like HDMI), then unplug and replug the DisplayPort into the graphics card port, and then switch the monitor back to the DisplayPort source. One time out of three, the image comes back. In other words, I mostly have to repeat this process several times each time.

For example, I start Battlefield 4, I join a server through Battlelog, and at that moment when I need to open the window to access the game, that’s precisely when the monitor switches to this mode. This happens 9 times out of 10. When I manage to reach the game, it's when I return to full screen that instead of seeing the desktop, the monitor goes into "power saving" mode at the moment of the black transition screen.

Hopefully, I have been clear in presenting my problem.

The monitor is brand new, only two months old.
ALL the drivers are up to date, as well as Windows.

Regarding the configuration:
-Windows 10 64-bit
-i7 4770k 8GB RAM
- MSI GTX 970
- Asus Z97E ITX (motherboard)
- 1TB & 120GB SSD

Thanks in advance!

Problem solved! Do not change your graphics card or your monitor, the problem does not come from there!

All you need to do is buy a Display Port cable guaranteed to have 19 pins and not 20.

The problem disappears.
