I'm reaching out because I'm looking for a solution to a problem that I can't seem to find online. Someone is hiding behind a screen under the name: anonymousstc4 and is insulting people for no reason.

However, everyone is accusing me because I’m one of the only ones who knows what they’re saying. I'm writing to you because it's not me, and I'm tired of being thought of as that person, especially since if this continues, it could go very far.

I'm contacting you to see if it would be possible to at least find out the email address of the person using this account or just where they are posting these photos from. What I’m asking for is simple: just an email address or the location from which they are posting these photos; that would be enough for me to know who they are.

Hello,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to know information about users of an online application other than what they display publicly.

Only the service owner (in this case, Facebook) has access to this data. Law enforcement agencies can request this information only through a judicial requisition, and Facebook is then obliged to provide this information, as well as the connection IP addresses.

The only possible actions are therefore:
  • A report of the Instagram account (Facebook), which will take the necessary measures to block or close the account;
  • A filing of a complaint since this type of behavior is punishable by law;

Hello, I have the same issue except that the Instagram account has been deleted; I only have screenshots. Will the police be able to locate where the person was at the time of the messages?

Hello, is it also prohibited to steal photos to create a fake Instagram account? I am often approached by fake profiles. I managed to find the real person whose photos were used only once; she had the account shut down by Instagram, but I saw today that there are now 2 fake Instagram accounts... It feels like a stone thrown into the ocean... Is there a way to file a complaint or do anything to stop this little game? What can we do concretely when we realize it's identity theft of a stranger????
