Hello,

Configuration: Windows / Safari IndeterminateI have a little problem with the touchpad of my Toshiba laptop. In fact, when I turn on my computer, the touchpad works perfectly, but after about 5 minutes of use, I can no longer move the cursor; it freezes. I think there's an issue with the touchpad. I've tried an alternative, which is to plug a USB mouse into my computer, but that doesn't work either.
I read on this forum that some people had a similar problem to mine but with other brands of computers, so I randomly tried the solutions that were proposed to those people, that is to say, pressing alt + Fsomething, but it didn't work. I can no longer work on my computer since the cursor freezes after about 5 minutes of use.

Has anyone experienced the same issue with their Toshiba computer? Does anyone have solutions to suggest? Should I just buy a wireless mouse?

Thank you for taking the time to help me.

Best regards,
Clegane

Hello.
First of all, have you checked the Toshiba website to see if a newer driver than yours is available for your touchpad?

Hello,

Thank you for your response.

It would be difficult for me to visit the Toshiba site to see if there is a newer driver since the cursor freezes very quickly after I turn on my computer.

But what do you mean by "newer driver"? I don't know what that is at all, as I don't know anything about computers, could you please give me more explanations?

Thank you,
Best regards,
Clegane

You don't have access to a second PC???

The driver is what allows the components of the PC to function, touchpad, sound, images, etc.

And manufacturers regularly update their drivers.

Since when did your problem appear??? Have you, for example, done any updates in Windows Update recently, before this touchpad issue???

I do have access to another PC, but it's a desktop computer.

My problem appeared a few days ago. I haven't done any updates in Windows update recently, my problem just showed up all of a sudden without me having done anything.

What can I do to fix my problem?

Thank you,
clegane

Follow this link
https://fr.dynabook.com/support/drivers/

Then enter the specifications of your PC and check if there is an update for the touchpad.

Also, give me the exact model of your Toshiba.
It's written on a label under the PC.

I visited the website you gave me, and despite having browsed through both categories regarding laptops, namely "laptop" and "laptop archive," I did not find the model I possess. I have tried all the series.

Here is the model written on the back of my computer:

SATELLITE C70-A-107

Do you have any other alternatives, please?

Thank you,
clegane
