Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to add a .gif image as a symbol so that it is considered text in my document.
Thank you for your reply.

Hello "Enattentederéponse",

if I understand correctly, you want to transform an image into a font (which would contain only one character) so that you can access it via Insert, "Symbols".

It's possible but requires good mastery of a vector drawing software.
Take a look at Contrariness's reply that provides the main steps for this type of operation:

Another possibility is to redraw your symbol yourself in the "Eudcedit" private character editor (provided with Windows: type Eudcedit in the Windows search field). You will find a tutorial here:

I don't know what your goal is, but it seems to me, at least with Word, that instead of creating a font, you could transform your image into an "AutoCorrect" or "QuickPart" with "In line with text" wrapping and use this "symbol" in all your documents.
This would be, in a way, a shortcut that would save you from going through "Insert", "Picture", etc. Of course, this image will not be automatically resized with the text font.
