Actually, I dread experiencing what you went through (poor quality and bad faith...), but I fear that this site might be my last resort to buy my cosplay (But well, I will keep looking!).
What seemed convincing to me were mainly the reviews, the interface of their "store," and the incredible number of cosplays available for sale. But I contacted him via message, and when I asked if it was a counterfeit (yeah, I asked straight away, you have to be honest sometimes XD), he replied, "It's of good quality! Look at the reviews from previous buyers!" So either my English is really bad and he didn't understand anything, or he's avoiding the subject and using his reviews (probably fake) as persuasive elements.
He also didn't want to answer when I asked him about the material of the cosplay. He said it was a uniform material...
I'm getting more and more perplexed, but I'm still waiting for another response from him to verify my statements...
And did your seller have positive "feedback" ratings? Because that can make a difference too... I saw a few positive reviews (on other sites) saying they received a good quality product...

to date I am on my 12th order with no issues: I ordered items as varied as: hiking clothes, fishing rods, high power LED bulbs, hooks, underwear, watches, and much more! Apart from a lack of instructions on the watch and a damaged package on the bulbs, everything went well - except for the length of delivery (between a minimum of 15 days and almost a month)
As for the quality of the ordered items, I have nothing to say: and in any case they are the same as on Amazon but cheaper (between 10 and 40%); I have not tested their return policy

I bought a tablet on May 22, 2017, from Aliexpress.com and received it about 3 weeks later. So far, so good! The problem once I received it: cracked screen, and the SD card slot misaligned, at risk of the SD card ending up between the electronic components and the tablet's casing.
I claim to the Aliexpress seller (rated 4 diamonds nonetheless) and he remains deaf. I try to activate the warranty and end up communicating with robot interlocutors who all have the same message (we understand and will take care of it, don't worry). Result after X attempts of a completely unresponsive service! NOTHING.
I try again to seek recourse by clicking on (Buyer Protection) and find myself thrown into a jumble of question-and-answer games, only in English please! Forced to use Google Translate in front of such a mess. Eventually, with my modest heavy insistence, they send me a return code with a procedure where you must not miss a step at the risk of the non-acceptable, and all this will send my package to a parcel transit center on Charles de Gaulle Street 93240 STAINS, where it will stay. Then, wow, after 3 weeks my package returns to me. Yes, but in the same condition as when I received it the first time (broken screen and SD card slot misaligned). I ordered a refurbished iPhone 6s from Aliexpress.
The package arrived in my mailbox, and horror of horrors, when I opened my locked mailbox, the package had been opened by someone unknown and the iPhone was no longer in the package.
Aliexpress refuses to refund me and tells me to deal with the postal services.
I do not recommend ordering expensive items from Aliexpress because in case of a problem, this seller completely washes their hands of any responsibility.

Aliexpress is not reliable at all, there are many problems with their products. Out of 3 orders, items were missing. In one order, the power cable was missing, in another, it didn't work, and the return was twice the price of the item with no refund, and the other seller never responds. When you open a dispute, you always lose, and the seller does not refund. They give you addresses where it's just warehouses with nothing there. Many people complain, but all of this is suppressed. So be cautious and order items under 15 euros; at least you won't lose much.

Debate is very serious and Chinese Aliexpress has a lot of scammers, and consumer defense says nothing and lets it happen.

You have to be a bit stupid to believe that AliExpress sells second-hand stuff like watches, clothes, etc. It's all fake.
