Hello,

I recently bought a new setup and I'm having an issue with the HDMI output on my motherboard (Asus Z97 Pro Gamer). I can't display anything.

For now, the display is going through my graphics card (Asus GTX 970), but I wanted to connect a second screen to the motherboard. When I try, it detects no signal.

I thought it might be a driver issue, but there are no HDMI drivers on the Asus website.
So it might be an option that needs to be enabled, but where?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi

if you want to connect a second screen, you need to go through the graphics card

best regards

If a graphics card is connected, the motherboard ports are disabled.

That's what I feared, and since I only have one HDMI port on the graphics card, I will have to connect it via VGA or buy a DisplayPort-compatible monitor.

Thank you for your response.

or a DVI > HDMI adapter (DVI can display HD)
