Hello, I just got a Lenovo computer with an Intel Core i3 running Windows 8, and from the start, when I open an image, it opens with Microsoft Office Word 2007 (which was installed beforehand) and shows meaningless letters, numbers, and symbols... I would like to be able to open an image saved in "My Documents" without having to do "right-click" -> "open with" -> "Windows Photo Viewer"... I want the "Windows Photo Viewer" to open by double-clicking on the photo icon. Thank you in advance.

your method is the right one, just check the option "Use this application for all files ...", so all images of this same format will now use the application you have designated, in your case it is the Windows Photo Viewer.

Hello, type default programs in the search bar, then configure the default programs, then select the photo viewer and set it as the default program.
