Hello
I had a problem a few months ago with my phone and internet (I had nothing while I used to have a connection).
I have 2 phone wires coming out of the wall in my living room on the ground floor (impossible to tell where they come from) and my box is installed upstairs on a phone socket. The technician who came to my home, after several searches, eventually connected the 2 wires that were coming out of the wall on the ground floor to each other: he connected the 2 blue wires from each cable together and the gray wire from one cable to the white wire from the other cable. And miracle, my connection was restored.
He advised me to buy a phone socket with 12 terminals and then connect the wires to it. Unfortunately, I don't know which terminal to connect the white & gray wires that are connected together and the blue wires that are connected together.
Can you help me please?
Thank you in advance

Thank you, but I still have some questions... A) What do these 2 cables coming out of the wall correspond to? B) If the white and gray are the only important ones, what do the 2 blues coming out of each sheath and connected to each other correspond to? C) If I understand correctly, I put the white and gray wires on terminals 1 and 3 and the blues on any 2 other terminals, is that right? Thank you in advance for your answers to the 3 questions.
given your original question, and since you don't have a standard PTT cable.
you put the white and gray in 1 and the two blues in 3.
but you can also take a simple socket and put the gray and white in 1 and the two blues in 3; it will be more useful and it will cost you less.
