Hello everyone!
I've been looking for a solution on various forums for 3 hours now, but nothing at all... even here I haven't found anything... so I'm going to start a new topic :)
While using Photoshop, I wanted to apply a "Overlay" blending mode to my layer, but it was greyed out, preventing me from using it. I also noticed that it wasn't the only one, many of these modes are greyed out, and all are unusable.
There are no error messages at any point, the software starts up without any issues and it's up to date...
The problem occurs in both 32 and 64 Bit.
P.S: A month ago, I reset my PC to factory settings. Before this reset, Photoshop didn't have this problem.
While waiting for your response, I will try uninstalling and reinstalling the software.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Sometimes complicated problems have simple solutions ^^
It even works in 16 Bit. :)
The 16 bits per channel is only useful for retouching very high definition photos with minimal loss, but the difference is almost imperceptible to the naked eye.
In 16 bits, you will have many other Photoshop functions that won't work (notably filters).
The 8 bits per channel (commonly referred to as 24 bits) already offers more than 16 million possible colors, and apparently you only have 3 or 4 ;)
