Package awaiting delivery: avoid scams

For about a week now, a robot voice from a delivery company has been regularly informing me about a package awaiting pickup. (Yet I am not expecting anything from anyone or anything at the moment).

The fourth time, I finally caved and complied with its request... poor lonely robot ... pretending to be surprised and curious to see how far it would go.
But, I said, oh my, what a surprise, someone is sending me a gift! I exclaimed!

So I called the FAMOUS number (01 80 14 44 67) ...
There, (Oooooh! It’s starting to smell like a scam more strongly), I need to call another number (08 99 66 98 77) which is a premium rate number. Aaaaah! with a code. €1.35 + €0.43 per minute to give me the address of the pickup location where I should go retrieve the ghost.

Yikes, yikes, yikes ...
It’s obviously a scam, the company Euro Livraison Express hasn’t existed since 2010!!!

It cost me about 2 euros in communication, but it gave me a good laugh anyway. Former employees of this company have hacked the phone and robotic system. I don't know how long this can last, but there is certainly a name attached to the two lines.
In any case, the scam knows no bounds, it’s really well put together, one had to think of that!

Hi

It's a "classic" scam .... even if it's more common via SMS ....

Anyway, as usual, if we haven't ordered anything, the simplest thing is to ignore these calls ....

And if we are expecting a package, the best thing is to track it from the merchant's site or through the tracking links provided by them ....

Talk later

The scam is still ongoing, but the contact number has changed; it is 08 99 66 97 79. They will leave you on hold with a recording.

Hello,
I just had the same problem and I got tricked because I'm waiting for a package. The voice told me that I was being directed to the regional antenna of Euro Livraison Express (number 08.99.66.97.79) and of course I believed it. Why would I have been suspicious?
